finally

	I'm on my second Fallout 76 account. The first I got through the windows gamepass store, which infamously doesn't work in linux. That was my fault for not checking before, c'est la vie. On that first account I managed to quickly collect all bobbleheads and magazines. On this second one.. not so quickly.

I'm going to make a post in the future as to why I view modern games, particularly online and multi-player ones, more as bonsai trees than games but for now let's just leave it with "I enjoy achievement hunting". Anything that adds random events or makes day to day gameplay a bit more colorful is the very first thing I go for. In Fallout 76 this comes as a trio of perks that alert you with an audio cue when either a bobblehead, magazine or caps stash is nearby.

Collecting one of each item awards you with an achievement (and a very small amount of atoms, the in-game currency). There's no real reason to do this beyond having done it. Getting all the bobbleheads was quick and painless. The magazines.. not so much.. at all.

After about a year I had managed to find every magazine except for one, Live & Love issue #6. And man was it brutal to find that one. The number of repeats when I only had that one remaining was 291. As in I found 291 duplicates before finding issue #6. And this is of course not counting the hundreds, or thousands, duplicates I found during the year of playing.

But now I can say that I've done it. Twice. And my bonsai tree is just a tiny bit prettier.
